Another Hurdle Passed!
Tonight at 6 pm, Chris was loading and reloading a web page in order to see whether or not he had passed the written driving test. At 6:20, there was still no grade, and we got a WhatsApp message from the driving school owner with a laughing emoji.
Translation: this is Spain for you.
Also right in line with all the #duryeesinspain experiences we've had since our arrival sans carseats.
But finally, after about 50 page refreshes, Chris saw that he had passed!
We stayed home for the first day of our ABWE Spain and Portugal team meeting so that Chris could take the test this morning, and this made it totally worth it!
After our trip, Chris will do about 10 hours of practical driving classes and hopefully be able to pass the practical test quickly. We are hoping to avoid much time without driving privileges.
I'm working my way through the practice tests and going to driver's education classes too, just a bit more slowly. I think I'll do fine on the written test, but I definitely am not looking forward to learning to drive a stick shift at my age.
Chris has been working so hard on this - he treated driving school like a full time job. I could not be more proud and I'm so glad he was rewarded with a pass on the first time, because he's also an excellent driver. It would have felt like such a waste of time to drag it out!
