At the Dinner Table {Day 3}
This is a neat trick we learned from our gracious hosts in California. Every time they shared a meal together, whether it was scrambled eggs with bacon and waffles for breakfast, takeout lunch at the dinner table or pasta with sauce on TV trays, they grabbed a missionary's prayer card from their napkin holder and lifted up the family in prayer as they thanked God for the meal. Here are a few napkin holders I love from the internet:

What I love about this is that it guarantees missionaries get prayed for regularly. So often we promise we'll pray for a missionary, and then we don't. I see the open rates of our prayer letters - not everyone is reading - so I can only assume not everyone is praying. Our family will be adding the Christmas card photos and even note cards with names to our own napkin/prayer card holder so that we are regularly praying for people as well. Â
