Christmas 2014 Update
Wow! What a year it has been! At the end of last year, we had a tiny newborn and some momentum in support raising (plus a tax refund coming shortly) that led us to enter full time prefield ministry. We anticipated full support by the end of the year and a date to leave for language school. God had other plans for 2014, and we are grateful because we know He is sovereign, He knows best, and He is orchestrating the events that will most glorify His name, which is truly all we desire.

This year we traveled much less for prefield than we'd hoped, though God gave us two new church partners and many new individual partners. We are so blessed by the many people who serve God by supporting the spread of the Gospel in Spain and Western Europe. We are still seeking about 40% of our support.

Because of being full time prefielders, we were able to serve at Camp Gilead's family camp for a whole week in June. Chris goes to our church to use a quiet office space for phone calls and ministry planning, and he was available to help out quite a bit while our pastor undergoes cancer treatment. Our family was together a lot; we do NOT take for granted the blessing it is to have Daddy around while the kids are little. Because of our schedule, I felt free to take on a leadership role at Bible Study Fellowship, and I have been blessed tremendously by the training I receive there. All of these things add up to invaluable training for the mission field.

Susanna turned three in June and Austin turned one in September. What joy these children bring to our lives!

We celebrated 10 years of marriage on July 10. You can see a photo album of our anniversaries over the years.

This blog turned 5 (!!) in November! I forgot to post about it because I was pooped from participating in Write 31 Days, when we covered 31(ish) Stories of Preparing for the Mission Field.
In January we'll be rolling out a new prayer card and a new look for our blog. Please check back often so you don't miss out.
We mean what we say on our Christmas card. We are praying that you have a joyful Christmas and a hope-filled New Year. Because of Jesus Christ, this is possible!
P.S. If you have considered partnering financially with us to spread the Gospel in unreached Spain, 2015 is your year! Please contact us to get started today.
