D is for Duryees {Day 14}
Here are 6 prayers based on scriptures you can pray for us. These are from Desiring God's Jon Bloom, who prays them for himself most mornings.
Each result starts with D, like Duryee!
elight in you as the greatest treasure of our hearts. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
esire to know you, be with you, and seek your kingdom above all else. Psalm 37:4 also says, "Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
iscernment that comes from a renewed mind that I might know your will. "Hebrews 5:14 says, "But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil."
esperation, because when I stop feeling my need for you I tend to wander. The Psalmist acknowledges our tendency to wander in Psalm 119:67, "Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word."
iscipline to plan for what I discern as your will. Paul says in Ephesians 5:15-16, "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."
iligence to do your will with all my heart. The first command in Deuteronomy 6:5, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might."
