Lose Your Life

Heard an interesting song today called "Dancing in the Minefields." I'm not sure what all the lyrics mean, but I did like this line:

Cause the only way to find your life is to lay your own life down And I believe it’s an easy price for the life that we have found

Immediately after I heard it, I realized that I need to be more conscious about laying my life down every day. I've been so busy for the last month, I've been in survival mode. Fortunately survival mode for me includes trying to keep reading the scriptures and ministry at the top of my list, but I still let important things fall to the wayside.

In reality, if I laid my life down - not even, but especially - on those busy days, I might have been more effective for Jesus and more fulfilled for me.
