Not Quite a Gregorian Chant
It has been a difficult couple of weeks. My water consumption is not much improved, even after adding the spiritual element of making it a project for Lent. Then: earthquakes, tsunamis, broken hearts, missionaries going through tremendous trials, sickness, busyness...
Yet, in the midst of bad news and heart-breaking prayer requests from dear people far and near, I have have heard the chant of God, like Gregorian Monks at the back of a cathedral:
depend on Me. depend on Me. depend on Me.
And so, somehow, I do.
I am grateful to be able to depend on your prayers for us as well.
This week Chris and I send out 16 letters to churches we have deep connections with. Please pray for the letters that are in the mail and the pastors who will read them. Many of the churches have supported our coworkers for years. We hope to have the opportunity to speak at those churches over the next year, and it is our main desire to minister to them, as a way of thanking them for being a part of the ministry God has called us to. We believe that God will supply the support as He sees fit.
