Today is the Day
We heard a wonderful devotion from Russ Ebersole this morning about the vastness of our enemy. If anyone knows about the enemy's power, it's Russ Ebersole. He was a pioneer missionary to the Philippines in the 1950s when there was no such thing as language school. He had to spend the weekends away from his family because he preached 60 miles from where they lived. And then his wife died. God brought Russ together with Nancy, whose husband had been poisoned in Bangladesh, and together they had a very fruitful ministry. But not without trial.
That is sort of my theme today. We sang a song about God's promises this morning, and one of the lines is "He will do what he said he will do." I believe this with all my heart and I believe it's in Spain. But I know it won't be without trial, and I look forward to the opportunity to thank Him in all things.
Please pray for us at 10:50 PST, when we will be sharing our heart and passion for taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Spain with the board of directors, which is responsible to appoint us as missionaries.
We are remembering 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 and Psalm 147:10-11 for strength from the only One who can give it.
